Description
Karui was designed by the Danish-Italian design studio GamFratesi. The trays are manufactured using spin forming, an ancient production technique. The leather comes from the leading Swedish tannery Tärnsjö, known for its high quality and located near Skultuna in northern Västmanland.
Stine Gam says about the design philosophy for the trays: The trays are called Karui / 軽 い, which in Japanese means soft but also light. The Japanese also gives other meanings, such as "light / simplicity," which is the informal feeling we want to convey with the Karui trays. Designed in 2015
