"The form and proportions of the candlestick have been on my mind for a long time and were quick to draw. It is a direct translation of the right height, weight, and elegance I have long searched for at auctions and antique dealers. My interpretation of a stately functionalist candlestick from the early 1930s, which stands majestically in all its simplicity but at the same time asserts itself as a sculpture thanks to its height and decorative elements." – says Marie-Louise.
