The softly curved tonneau shape, inspired by classic iconic models created in the early 20th century, gives the watch a classic yet confident character. The name comes from the French word for thin, a shape that symbolizes both strength and harmony. The numbers on the dial are taken from a traditional clock, a tribute to Skultuna's roots.
The model is named after Skultuna's founder, Charles IX. Fredrik af Klercker wanted Carolus IX to represent the best of Swedish and European tradition: a watch for life, created to be worn with the same ease with a tuxedo as on the beach.
